Easter Offering

Each Easter we give a “second-mile” gift to missions and outreach.  This gift is an expression of our gratitude for God’s grace and a way of sharing God’s grace with others who are in need.  As Resurrection People, we are called to be in partnership

with God and with one another, bringing hope to those living in despair and sharing

the good news of resurrection and new life.

Your gift to the Easter Offering directly lends support to many of the vital ministries of the church. Part of our church’s mission includes reaching out to those beyond our immediate church family through the great work of the UnitedMethodistChurch.

Our Easter Offering goal is $100,000.

FIRST STREET METHODIST MISSION: Support the feeding ministries at the

First Street Methodist Mission.

OUTREACH MINISTRIES: For outreach ministries we support –

Crime Victims Council

Diamond Hill UMC Ministry Center

Justice for our Neighbors

Metro Board of Missions

The Global AIDS Fund

United Community Centers

YWCA Care for a Child ministry for the children of the homeless

CHURCH GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT: Support starting new churches in the Central Texas Conference through the Church Growth and Development Shares Program.

PERKINS SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY:  Help fulfill our church’s commitment to provide the office of Global Theological Education in the new building at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.
